Billing Options

Existing Patients with Out of Network Insurance:

Psychiatry Associates of Tallahassee is only in network with CHP and Medicare. If you are an existing patient and have an insurance besides those two, we will continue to courtesy bill on your behalf (you are grandfathered in). However, we will not obtain prior authorizations or contact your insurance company for any reason.

If your insurance changes to a different out of network insurance, or a different group within your same out of network insurance, we will no longer courtesy bill on your behalf. Your account will be listed as self-pay and you will be responsible for the full fee for service price at time of service.

Patients with Medicare Advantage Plans (Medicare Replacement Plans, Part C Plans)

Psychiatry Associates of Tallahassee is only in network with CHP Medicare Advantage Plans. If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan that is not with CHP (out of network), you will be responsible for 115% of the Medicare allowable rate as mandated by federal law. We will not courtesy bill or obtain prior authorizations for treatment on your behalf for out of network Medicare Advantage Plans.

For All Patients:

Please note that new patients with out of network insurance will be listed as self-pay and be responsible for the full fee for service price at time of service.

Future appointments will not be scheduled until your account has been paid in full or prior arrangements have been made with the billing department; 850.877.0635, opt 7.
